It's easy to get lost in the beauty of Lake Catherine every time you visit.

The state park has endless opportunities for fun both on and around the water. Spend the night in one of their yurts, pitch a tent, or claim a cabin around this small but stunning lake. After you're settled you'll want to head to Falls Branch Trail.

This hike is a favorite for many reasons. Not only is Falls Branch Trail easy and kid-friendly, it also has a rewarding pay-off!

The loop is about two miles long and perfect for little hikers. The trek takes about two hours to accomplish but it's easy to lose the day when you find the waterfall.

At the halfway mark of the trail you'll find Falls Creek Falls.

This gorgeous waterfall can be an absolutely stunning blue when conditions are right. Throughout the seasons and rains the waterfall-fed pool can also appear completely clear or more turquoise.

Although it's only 10-ft. tall, Falls Creek is one of the most beautiful in all of Arkansas.

Which is saying something since the Natural State is well-known for its scenic waterfalls! Any waterfall chaser should have Falls Creek Falls as one of the top slots in their bucket list.

The enchanting waterfall is perfectly splendid for summertime wading. For the best chances of fewer crowds, try to take this trail during the week and/or in the morning.
