3. Beluga Slough Trail, Homer, Alaska

This easy 1.2-mile loop is located right on the ocean in Homer, Alaska. This little trail runs from the Visitor Center back down to the ocean and back. It’s an easy walk on a grated boardwalk, crafted so that it stays clear of ice. Expect killer views of the bay and mountains beyond.

4. Lunch Falls Trail, Ketchikan, Alaska

Starting at Settler's Cove parking lot in Ketchikan, this stunning hike takes you in a .8-mile loop up to a waterfall. While not entirely a boardwalk, the entire trail is filled with stairs, a charming bridge, and wooden planks to walk on.

5. Rodak Naturę Loop, Eagle River Nature Center, Alaska

A longtime favorite of locals, the Rodak Nature Loop is the perfect quick walk out to Eagle River, where you can get on a boardwalk over the water and gaze at the spectacular scenery around you. It’s an easy .8-mile loop, clearly marked and well maintained. Just keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife like bears, and enjoy the trail.

6. Wasilla Creek Trail, Wasilla, Alaska
