The Farmers' Almanac has recently published Alabama's winter weather predictions for 2020-2021, which just might surprise you. If you're unfamiliar with the Farmers' Almanac, no worries. First published in 1818, it's the oldest source of published weather forecasts that's available today. Mathematical and astronomical formulas are used to develop these forecasts.

Over the years, Alabama has experienced its fair share of chilly and rainy winters. In fact, last year's winter was very brisk and wet.

The Yellowhammer State has also experienced heavy snowfall, which is pretty rare here in the Southeastern United States.
