After all, our great state is filled with countless trails that are perfect for anyone who loves exploring the outdoors. One trail in particular is Alabama's Swayback Bridge Trail, which you can learn all about below.
Swayback Bridge Trail is located off the beaten path in Wetumpka, Alabama. It's a scenic trail that's accessible year-round.

Established in 1998, this loop trail is 4.6 miles long. It's also one of the town's most popular trails for hiking and mountain biking. Keep in mind, there are five loops available along this trail. These range from one mile to 11.2 miles (if you wish to hike or ride them all).
While hiking Alabama's Swayback Bridge Trail, which has a moderate rating when it comes to difficulty, you'll be surrounded by lots of lush greenery. You'll also face a few steep climbs, so be prepared.
The main feature of Swayback Bridge Trail is of course Swayback Bridge. This bridge was built in 1931 and measures an impressive 290 feet long.
It also spans Lake Jordan and offers some pretty incredible views. Don't forget your camera!
One of the greatest things about this trail is that it's usually not crowded. So, you can rest assured your hike or bike ride will most likely be a peaceful one.
