Without a doubt, fall is my favorite time of year. Beautiful scenery, crisp air, comfy clothes and delicious foods are just a few of the many reasons why fall is the best season. And even though Wednesday, September 23 is officially the first day of fall, signs of fall are already starting to surround us.

1. School starts back.
2. The leaves start changing colors.
3. Labor Day kicks off the fall season.
4. College football season begins.
5. Many apple orchards open as fall approaches.
6. Halloween items start filling retail store shelves.
7. Pumpkin patches start popping up across the state.
8. The temperature begins to drop.
9. Pumpkin spice EVERYTHING becomes available, including the famous Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks.
