Dismals Canyon is a National Natural Landmark that's located in Phil Campbell, Alabama. It's one of the few places in the world where dismalites (glowworms) live, which makes it one of the state's true hidden gems.
Covering 85 acres, this scenic canyon offers an easy 1.5-mile, out-and-back trail that meanders through it. It's a great hike for all skill levels.
