A Trip To The Oldest Grocery Store In Montana Is Like Stepping Back In Time
In 1883, Montana was still six years from officially becoming a state. But that was the year that Worden’s Market opened in Missoula, and the grocery store is still open and thriving today.

But despite moving several times, Worden's has always been a downtown entity.

The business has won numerous local awards since then, including Best Deli.

The market opens daily at 8 a.m. (9:00 on Sundays).
It feels pretty great to be supporting a piece of local history. And for a real blast from the past, you can always check out one of Montana’s general stores.
