Missouri’s got some pretty amazing tales to tell. And, among those tales, are stories of the paranormal. If you believe in the paranormal, you’ve got plenty of opportunities to experience it – if you’re lucky – in Missouri. Even if you don’t believe in apparitions and the paranormal, you can still embark on some pretty cool adventures in the state – like visiting this charming inn, which also just might be the most haunted hotel in Missouri.
Indulge in a relaxing getaway when you check into the Walnut Street Inn in Springfield. And, if you believe in the paranormal...
The enchanting inn began its story as the home of Charles McCann in 1894. Charles and his wife, Katherine, remained in their beloved three-story home until they passed away.
Most times the woman tells the guests they are in her room before she disappears, although one guest claims the woman pulled the blanket off of her in the middle of the night to sit down next to her on the bed.
Still others tell of more strange occurrences in the inn, including doors that mysteriously close, footsteps when no one is there, and lights that turn on by themselves in empty rooms.
