Visit Truman Lake, One Of Missouri’s Most Underrated Lakes And A Great Summer Destination

A summer day at one of Missouri’s underrated lakes just might lead to a season-long love affair. Between the sun-kissed sand and the shimmering water, the gorgeous lake offers something for everyone, making it hard not to fall in love. In fact, before long, you might find yourself drawn to the lake over and over again, proclaiming it your favorite summer destination.

Spend a leisurely summer day, soaking up the sun on a sandy beach or exploring Truman Lake in a kayak, at Harry S. Truman State Park in Warsaw.

While the lake is absolutely gorgeous and offers so much to do, it sometimes gets overlooked by other Missouri lakes, like Table Rock Lake.

If it's an old-fashioned summer beach day you're craving, you've got two gorgeous lakes from which to choose at Truman State Park. Well, two if you're camping. One beach is exlusively for campers while the other welcomes day visitors.

You can also explore the shimmering lake aboard a kayak or another boat. Bring your own, or rent one from the park's marina.

Grab a table under one of the towering trees for a picnic. The picnic area welcomes visitors seasonally from May through September.
