Tupelo Elvis Festival: One Of The Best Festivals In Mississippi

Elvis Presley has got to be the most famous person from Mississippi. So it only makes sense that the state hosts a festival in his honor. The annual event includes tons of Elvis impersonators, but that’s not all. There’s also great food, incredible music, parades, and more. This is one event the entire family – even the dog – can appreciate. Take a look:

For the past two decades, the city of Tupelo has been hosting the Tupelo Elvis Festival.

The annual event is described as "a celebration honoring Elvis Presley, Tupelo’s native son, and the impact his music has on the world."

Now heading into its 21st year, the 2019 festival will be June 5th – 9th.

Each year, it attracts thousands of people.

Among the crowd are dozens of Elvis impersonators – and for good reason.

The festival’s Tribute Artist Contest serves as a preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest.

It's a pretty big deal since the winner will represent Tupelo in the contest, which is held in Memphis in August.

There’s a lot more to the festival than great music, though. The festival also features food vendors, a 5K run, movie poster exhibit, and living history on Main Street.

This year will also include a new event – a youth competition.

Even pets can get in on the fun, thanks to a pet parade.

Offering fun for the entire family, this event is a must visit for everyone...
