What are some other great hikes in Mississippi?

When it comes to hikes in Mississippi, the options are plentiful. A great choice for an easy, scenic stroll is the Clear Springs Loop Trail. Located within the Clear Springs Recreation Area in Roxie, the 1-mile trail circles the spring-fed lake for which the recreation area is named. While at the recreation area, you can also enjoy picnicking, fishing, and swimming. The Nature Trail in Natchez is another quick hike with a big payoff. Sometimes referred to as the “Lower Trail,” the trek offers close-up views of Natchez’s famous bluff as well as the Mighty Mississippi. The trail comes to an end at the city’s Under-The-Hill historic district, where you’ll find great eateries and shops.

What are the best natural wonders in Mississippi?

There seems to be no shortage of natural wonders in Mississippi. One that shouldn’t be missed is Red Bluff in Foxworth. Otherwise known as “Mississippi’s Little Grand Canyon,” the massive canyon stands at 400 feet above sea level and is comprised of soil, sediments, and red clay – hence the name. Though the view from the top of the canyon is impressive, there’s nothing quite like trekking down to its base and enjoying the views from a different angle.
