The building was originally used as ammunition storage during the Civil War.

The parlor closed in 2009 but was reopened in 2015 under new ownership. The fact that Selma's is still around after changing hands is a testament to its important place in the Afton community.

The shop is lined with shelves that display old-fashioned candy for sale. You'll have a sugar rush and an overdose of nostalgia as soon as you walk in the door.

The cones are made fresh and hand-dipped into milk, dark, or white chocolate. Some even come with sprinkles!

Try a double cake cone for an extra dose of cold, creamy goodness. You know you want to.

Or, you know, just because. You definitely don't need an excuse to get an ice cream cake as tasty as these.

You can also pick up other treats like cookies, pies, and candy. These irresistible cookies are filled with chocolate chips and dipped in chocolate and nuts, candies, and sprinkles.

Like cookies? Like ice cream? Then you'll appreciate the opportunity to have a classic ice cream sandwich in this quaint ice cream parlor. Basically, if you have a sweet tooth, Selma's is your place.
