The Old Fashioned Drive-In Restaurant In Minnesota That Hasn’t Changed In Decades
Now that spring has finally come to Minnesota, many of the state’s most exciting dining experiences are opening up. Not only is it now time to break out the sunglasses for dinner by the water. But it’s also time to stop in at some of your favorite old fashioned drive-in restaurants. There are many to choose from in Minnesota, but one of our favorites is a northern Minnesota spot that has stood the test of time for many years. Gordy’s Hi-Hat in Cloquet, Minnesota, is a delicious drive-in that hasn’t changed in decades. Take a look:
Gordy's Hi-Hat is a landmark of northern Minnesota. Many on their way up north make a point to stop here every summer. The address is 415 Sunnyside Dr., Cloquet, MN 55720.
The restaurant has been open since, and not much has changed in the 59 years since it opened. It still draws crowds of happy travelers every night of the summer.
Special events, like the annual classic car show, draw eve more crowds. There's nothing more nostalgic than checking out old cars at a drive-in restaurant!
