Who doesn’t love a donut? Luckily, they’re not too hard to find no matter where you are. From grocery stores to gas stations, donuts are pretty abundant in these parts. But what about good donuts? Those are a little harder to come by. But there’s one bakery in Minnesota that has been churning out amazing donuts – and more – for nearly 100 years.

This hometown bakery has been a mainstay of Winona since 1924.

Located in a former saloon, this historic spot was owned by the same family for its first 80 years. It wasn't until 2004 that a new family took charge, and they have continued the tradition seamlessly.

Walk in, and you'll be greeted first with the incredible smell of fresh baked goods. Then, you'll see a huge selection of baked goods. What will you choose?

Just like the sign says, Bloedow's is famous for its pastries, donuts, and homemade breads.

But it is the donuts in particular that have made the bakery famous.

In fact, local media has named Bloedow's donuts the best donuts in all of Minnesota. That's why this little bakery draws such big crowds.

Bloedow's Bakery is located at 451 East Broadway Street in Winona. They are open Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
