Everybody’s got their picture-perfect Christmas tree. You may love to get one that reaches the ceiling, or one that barely stands a few feet high. You may love to deck it out in colorful lights, or you may prefer a simpler look. No matter what your preference, you’re sure to find an amazing Christmas tree at one of these 11 Minnesota Christmas tree farms. And when you’re done, each one offers festive winter activities that will put you in the mood for Christmas.

1. B&J Evergreen - Crystal Lake
A trip to B&J Evergreen is sure to be festive. At the Crystal Lake farm, 140 acres of trees are yours for the picking. But if you’re not up to cutting down your own tree, plenty of great pre-cut trees are available as well. On weekends, you have the chance to meet Santa, take a hayride, or meet some cute farm animals. Tree sales start on the day after Thanksgiving.

2. Blackwoods Tree Farm - Stillwater
This lovely tree farm fits in perfectly with the quaint charm of Stillwater. Tree pickers can cut down their own tree or wander through the historic barns to pick out the perfect pre-cut tree. When you’ve made your selection, gather around a warm fire for cider and candy canes, or in a barn filled with antique relics of Christmas past. Visit Thursday through Sunday until December 18.

3. Guggisberg Tree Farm - New Ulm
This tree farm has been providing Christmas memories for over 20 years. Since 1995, people have delighted in cutting down their perfect tree. There is also an annual Santa meet-and-greet. This year, it’s on December 4. Check out Guggisberg Tree Farm every Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving.

4. Hansen Tree Farm - Ramsey
Hansen Tree Farm is a great place to go if you don't want to venture too far out of the city. For over 60 years, this Ramsey tree farm has been growing beautiful evergreens. A hayride and a cup of hot cider will make your tree picking experience that much more memorable. Visit every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through December 18.

5. Wolcyn Tree Farms & Nursery - Cambridge
Wolcyn was named the best cut-your-own tree farm in Minnesota by WCCO viewers - and for good reason. With over 900 acres of land, they have trees of any size and shape imaginable. If you decide to cut your own, you can take a hayride out to the field. If not, there are plenty of pre-cut options as well. You can find the farm in Cambridge, but there are several tree lots throughout the Twin Cities where you can find a Wolcyn tree. Find all the locations

6. Petersen Tree Farm - Clear Lake
Petersen Tree Farm offers both cut-your-own and pre-cut trees for you to choose from. And when you're done, enjoy some hot cider as you browse the gift shop. Maybe you'll find all the ornaments you need to decorate your beautiful new tree. Peterson Tree Farm is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through December 18.

7. Krueger's Christmas Trees - Lake Elmo
This charming tree farm is not to be missed. They show their gorgeous trees each year at the Minnesota State Fair - and this year won three blue ribbons. If that's not enough to sway you, consider the hand-decorated wreaths you can buy to go with your knockout Christmas tree. Krueger's is open every day until December 24.

8. Pinestead Tree Farms - Isanti
When you're done cutting down your perfect tree at Pinestead, you still have a lot to see. On the first two weekends in December, Santa will be there to take your gift requests. There are also hayrides, animals, and fun photo opportunities. The farm is open each day until December 23.

9. Z's Trees
For many, a trip to Z's Trees is an annual tradition. That's certainly the case for Santa, who makes a yearly stop at this small farm. It looks like he may not make it this year, but there is still a chance to get a fantastic tree. This year, cut your tree at Z's on December 10.

10. Jan's Christmas Trees - Clear Lake
If you crave something a little different, Jan's Tree Farm may be the place for you. Funky pink, purple, and blue trees make this a unique place to start your Christmas season. But even if colorful trees aren't your thing, Jan's has plenty of classic evergreens to go around. With a bonfire, a Santa visit, a Christmas store, carriage rides, and more, there's enough to do at this tree farm to make an entire day of it.

11. Cornerstone Pines - Grey Eagle
With thousands of trees over 100 acres of land, you're sure to find your picture-perfect Christmas tree at Cornerstone Pines. Besides cut-your-own and pre-cut trees, Cornerstone Pines also has Santa visits on Saturdays and Sundays through December 11.
