Minnesota isn't exactly known for its impressive palaces or medieval castles. Sure, we have some historic homes that are well worth visiting for the glimpse they give us into the past. But there are not many buildings that would truly be considered castles. There aren't many that even resemble castles. But there is at least one, and it happens to be one of the tastiest pizza places in the entire state. Next time you're craving some 'za, head out to the small-town pizza place in east-central Minnesota that looks just like a castle.
Pizza Pub is a local pizza chain with several locations in the east-central Minnesota region. The chain was established in 1976, and it's still popular today.
The Pine City, Minnesota, location is housed in what looks like an old castle. It even has a turret! The address is 500 3rd Ave. SE, Pine City, MN 55063.
Walk inside, and you'll be greeted by even more medieval vibes. There's even a suit of armor guarding the door.
The dining area is simple but comfortable, and it's not without historic touches. The old tin ceiling and brick walls add a charming effect.
When the place fills up, it's as comfortable and cozy as anywhere. You'll feel right at home.
There's also a gaming area tucked into the corner. Kids and adults alike will enjoy a game or two while waiting for food to arrive.
And when the food does come, you won't be disappointed. Tasty apps like onion rings and fries are always a great options.
There are burgers, salads, and sandwiches on the menu, too. But you can't go to Pizza Pub without trying the pizza.
The crust is perfectly thin, the cheese is generous, and the toppings are fresh. For a small-town pizza joint, Pizza Pub is about as good as it gets!
