Michiganders know a thing or two about snow, we deal with an average of 64 inches of the white stuff per year. Our state has a large range when it comes to snow, however, with Detroit averaging 33 inches and the Upper Peninsula ranking much higher. The snowiest town in Michigan is Houghton, which is at the northern tip of the Upper Peninsula and gets slammed with a yearly average of 207 inches of snowfall.
