Michigan’s Longest Running Winter Festival Features Snowmobile Drag Racing, An Ice Fishing Contest, And More
Winter has arrived in the Mitten State and we certainly love our seasonal sports and activities. While many of us have tried our hand at sledding, skiing, and ice skating, there is an exciting event that you might not have experienced yet. Tip Up Town USA is a winter festival hosted in Houghton Lake, Michigan, and you need to add this snowy carnival to your bucket list. While Tip Up Town USA might not have the longevity of another famous winter event (Michigan Technological University’s Winter Carnival), as far as festivals during winter go, this is still one of the longest-running winter festivals in Michigan.
As one of the longest-running winter festivals in Michigan, it is one we look forward to each year. For a full list of events visit the Tip Up Town website or the Tip Up Town Facebook page.
