Our home town play an integral role in our outlook on life. They serve to teach us life lessons that we carry with us for the rest of our lives. If you grew up in Michigan, there are many of those moments that you keep in the back of your mind. Here are just some of the lessons learned if you're from the Mitten State.
18) You learned to play, and say, Euchre from an early age.
17) You discovered the joys of bumpy cake from Sanders.
16) If you found enough cans lying around the house, you could get enough money together to go out with your friends.
15) Your first car was, of course, American.
14) You celebrate your 19th birthday in Canada and your 21st in Michigan.
13) Summers were for visits to Detroit Tigers games.
12) And trips Up North to the family cottage.

7) Fall was made for picking apples and hay rides at the orchard.
6) Followed by picking a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.
5) You knew your Halloween costume would always require layers.
4) If you wanted to get to school on time, you helped dad scrape the frost off the wind shield.
3) You remember searching the Christmas tree farm for the perfect tree.
2) You got excited every year for the first snow fall.
