Detroit’s location along the river allows residents and visitors to see all of its wonders and true beauty. 1. Sunset Point on Belle Isle.
Sunset Point is on the west end of Belle Isle and has the best views of the Detroit skyline, the Ambassador Bridge, the Renaissance Center and a bit of Windsor, Canada. As the name suggests, it's best to see this view during a sunset.
2. Chene Park Amphitheatre.
Chene Park hosts a number of pop and jazz concerts, but what makes this place different from other venues is the scenic overlook of the Detroit River and Canada.
3. William G. Milliken State Park and Harbor.
Check out William G. Milliken State Park and Harbor at dusk for the gorgeous gardens, fountains, and fantastic views of Windsor, Canada and the towering Renaissance Center.
4. Comerica Park.
You'll get goosebumps when looking out at Comerica Park and witnessing downtown light up at night.
5. Belle Isle Conservatory.
The conservatory's six sections of beautiful floral is something that must be seen to believe. From palm trees to rare flowers, it is a wonderful place hiding right here in Detroit.
6. The Dequindre Cut Greenway.
This railway-turned-greenway is a multi-use trail that's only 1.2 miles long, but during the fall, you'll see a wonderful array of colors and end your walk or bike ride near the Detroit River.
7. The top of the Renaissance Center.
Find your way all the way to the top of the Renaissance Center and see Detroit's marvelous architecture, unique scenery, and the Detroit River.
8. Iridescence on the top of Motor City Casino.
Opt to sit near the large windows at this 16th floor restaurant, where you'll overlook the beautiful city and Canada.
9. Detroit Opera Sky Deck.
Take in the city during one of their public events, or rent the lovely garden space and see downtown Detroit in a whole new way.
