We might be a bit biased, but we think Massachusetts has some of the best food in the entire country — and some of it comes from some pretty unexpected spots. Great Barrington is a small town by any definition, but it's home to some of the tastiest burgers in the state. The next time you're in the area, check out The Bistro Box.

The Bistro Box is a charming little roadside hut that is open seasonally, typically from May until November.

And since its 2014 opening, people have been driving from near and far to try it.

It all started in 2010 when Nick and Birdie opened a food truck in Florida they called The Bistro Box.

Nick and Birdie both graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, and they have a serious passion for food. They opened The Bistro Box in Great Barrington in 2014, and for that we are thankful.

The menu here is a hybrid between traditional burger shack food and modern cafe fare.

Everything is freshly made, flavorful, and unbelievably delicious.

The burgers here are out of this world.

Once you try one, it's difficult to order anything else on the menu. They're also all made with grass-fed beef, grilled fresh sirloin, and other top-quality meats.

In addition to the scrumptious burgers, you can order a sandwich, soup, salad, or one of the daily specials.

They even know how to make a perfect taco.

Save room for side dishes here — the onion rings and fries are fantastic.

These are Spring Fries, which aren't always available. The Chili Cheese Fries, however, are on the regular menu.

The Bistro Box is open every day but Wednesday, although hours vary.

Typically, they open at 11 a.m., and you'll want to arrive early to get the best selection.
