Table Talk Pies Have Been The Talk Of The Town In Massachusetts Since 1924
Table Talk Pies, a nostalgic bakery in Worcester, has been delighting customers with its delicious pies since 1924.
Since 1924, Table Talk has been baking tasty pies in Worcester. If you grew up in Massachusetts, these pies may bring back fond memories of your childhood. From its humble beginnings to nationwide success, Table Talk Pies are nostalgic as they are delicious.
In 1924, Table Talk was started by two Greek immigrants, Mr. Theodore Tonna and Mr. Angelus Cotsidas in Worcester. At first, they baked bread and they eventually added hand-made pies.
During the company's humble beginnings, the pies were sold out of a horse-drawn carriage wagon that traveled throughout neighborhoods, and they became a hit!
Although it began as a small pie business in Massachusetts, with the hard work of baking high-quality pies throughout the years, it grew into a major company. Today, you can find Table Talk pies in stores across the nation.
Owned and operated by a third generation, Table Talk now makes an impressive 250 million pies annually at three automated bakeries in the Worcester area.
Table Talk has also won several awards from The National Pie Council, which is unsurprising given the mouthwatering flaky crust and sweet filling in every delectable bite!
If you grew up in Massachusetts, you probably ate your fair share of the four-inch snack-sized pies. You may also remember when you could purchase 10 Table Talk Pies for a dollar. Today these small pies are sold in over a dozen flavors including apple, lemon, cherry, chocolate eclair, and mango pineapple.
The snack pies, in their classic red and white boxes, may be popular items but so are the dessert pies which come in six, eight, nine, or 10 inches. They are perfect to bring to a celebration or holiday gathering!
