Right on the shoreline of Cape Cod Bay is a breathtaking spot on Barnstable Public Lands. The Sandy Neck Nature Trail travels through some of the prettiest coastal areas in the state.
The trail is traditionally hiked in a 7.4-mile loop.

It’s flat and easy to hike, with only 54 feet in elevation gain for the whole trail. However, the sand can be deep in areas when you hit the sand dunes, and if it’s been rainy lately you will come across puddles in the marsh that you will have to cross.
Depending on the time of year you visit, you may come across the annual turtle crossing.
