There’s something amazing about being so close to these planes. These days, airport security can be so tight that you’re rarely allowed within viewing distance of a runway. No so at Plane Jane’s!

You can savor a mug of fresh coffee and a rich, homemade muffin while sitting a mere stone’s throw away from the planes taking off at the airport. Beautiful smaller crafts and larger passenger planes take off and land on the tarmac just beyond the restaurant’s dining deck.

The main show might be out on the airfield, but there’s just as much to look forward to on your plate.

Mingle with pilots and flight crew as you savor Plane Jane’s all-day breakfast offerings. Their homemade muffins are a great way to whet your appetite for the light, fluffy waffles they serve up by the dozen.

If you don’t feel like breakfast after noon, Plane Jane’s has delicious homemade pizza, soups and daily lunch specials.

This place operates like an old-fashioned diner – it’s counter service only. All you need to do is decide which of the delectable offerings you’d like to sample, order at the front of the restaurant, and bring your delicious breakfast haul to the booth or table of your choosing. Unless you visit at the peak of the breakfast rush (i.e. Sunday morning), you can usually snag a table on the deck. Even if you do show up during a busier hour, the staff will have you seated in no time.

Service is prompt and friendly. If you’re lucky, you might run into Jane herself working the counter.

There’s really no reason not to visit this unique restaurant. Even if you’re not an aviation enthusiast, who doesn’t love a table with a view? Kids absolutely love watching the aircraft lift off into the clouds, and the tasty, comfort food breakfast fare will keep you coming back.

Plane Jane’s Place is open Saturday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Fridays, they are open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit Plane Jane’s at 246 South Meadow Road in Plymouth. Give them a call at (508) 747-9396.
