Spring In Massachusetts

What are some things to do in Massachusetts in spring?

The world seems to bring more possibilities once spring arrives, doesn’t it? In the Bay State, this means more possibilities to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether it’s hiking or chasing waterfalls you’re after, here are some of the best things to do in Massachusetts in spring:

  • Attend a spring festival. If you love going to spring festivals, here are a few to enjoy:
  •  Go for a hike. There are some incredible trails to get you out and enjoy the fine spring weather. Here are a few to start out with this season:
    • Fort Hill Trail in Eastham: This Cape Cod trail doesn’t offer much cover which makes it ideal for the spring but less ideal under the summer sun. I enjoy this hike in winter and spring mainly for its coastal views.
    • World's End Trail in Hingham. This is one of my favorite hikes no matter what time of year. What I love most about it is the views of Boston across the water. While close to civilization, it seems like a world of its own.
    • Walden Pond Path in Concord. Circumnavigate the pond made famous by author Henry David Thoreau. It’s a popular hiking spot so be prepared to see others on the trail.
    • Danforth Falls Trail in Hudson. If you want to chase waterfalls in Massachusetts this spring, this is a good trail to start out with.
