Gibbet Hill Grill is located on a 500-acre farm in the town of Groton. To dine at this farm restaurant is an experience unlike any other.
Once upon a time, Gibbet Hill was a working cattle farm specializing in Black Angus. When the Grill eventually took over, the farm's 100-year old cattle barn was renovated and transformed into the restaurant while keeping much of its rustic and historic appeal.
As one of very few regional restaurants that grows its own produce onsite, you can expect to find a menu with rotating items based on what's available at the time.
Among the many crops grown on the farm are over 40 varieties of heirloom tomatoes, heirloom beets, radishes, greens, peppers, squashes, zucchini, peppers, potatoes, beans, herbs, and so much more.
The restaurant provides a true "farm-to-fork" experience providing the freshest ingredients straight from the on-site farm. You can taste the freshness and quality with every forkful.
Since this farm restaurant grows a wide variety of heirloom tomatoes, you may want to order the Tomato Salad with tomatoes, whipped goat cheese, pistachio dukkah, and mint vinaigrette.
The Beets & Berries salad is another great choice. Topped with feta, cucumber, pickled red onion, and raspberry vinaigrette, this is one salad you'll want to order again and again.
