Drone Footage Captured At This Abandoned Massachusetts Hospital Is Truly Grim

There’s something about abandoned places that inspires the imagination…and goosebumps. In this drone video by YouTube user “Matt L,” we’re taken high above a grim modern ruin in Massachusetts.

Boston Regional Medical Center was a former hospital in Stoneham. It was founded in 1899 and originally known as New England Sanitarium and Hospital. The hospital was a Seventh-day Adventist facility and had 187 beds. In 1999, the hospital closed for financial reasons. It has been left empty and abandoned for almost 20 years. The interior is hazardous due to high levels of asbestos.
