Drone Footage Captured At This Abandoned Massachusetts Hospital Is Truly Grim

There's something about abandoned places in Massachusetts that inspires the imagination as well as plenty of goosebumps. In this drone video by YouTube user "Matt L," we're taken high above a grim site of modern ruin. This abandoned hospital in Boston is plagued with a dark history and is, today, as eerie as it is strangely beautiful. Boston Regional Medical Center was a former hospital in Stoneham. It was founded in 1899 and was originally known as New England Sanitarium and also New England Memorial Hospital. The hospital was a Seventh-day Adventist facility and had 187 beds. In 1999, the hospital closed for financial reasons. It has been left empty and abandoned for almost 20 years. The interior is hazardous due to high levels of asbestos, but that doesn't stop some brave souls from checking it out anyway.
