Have you ever headed to what was billed as a family-friendly destination with high hopes, but it turned out to be a bust? Maybe it just wasn't geared toward kids or families, making it so much less than what you expected. You don't have to worry about that when you spend a day at Davis Farmland in Massachusetts. The popular family-friendly destination is designed just for children and their parents, making it a fun and a memorable destination.
Davis Farmland in Sterling has been introducing children, 12 and younger, to nature and animals at its Children's Discovery Farm for more than two decades.
The popular Massachusetts destination only welcomes children (12 and younger) and their parents or guardians and offers accommodations to make access safe and easy for everyone.
You'll find, for example, a nursing room, special areas for diaper changing, and family bathrooms.
A trip to the Discovery Farm means a full day of fun, especially in the fall when you add pumpkin and apple picking to the agenda.
Kids can let loose and have a blast at Adventureland, which is brimming with kid-approved activities - from slides to four-wheel bikes.
Imagine Acres features a playground where kids can nurture their imagination. In the summer, the farm also hosts a spray park.
Animals play a significant role in the fun at Davis Farmland as kiddos and their parents can interact with them in a variety of ways. Climb aboard a safari, or go on a pony ride, for example.
Kiddos can also learn how to milk a goat, how to gather eggs from chickens, and how to groom the animal residents. There's even a reptile ranch to inspire developing minds.
The interactive experiences with the animals offer a ton of fun while teaching the whole family, too.
