Good fried chicken isn’t hard to come by down south, but it’s not as easy a find up here in New England. However, this tiny spot in Haverhill secretly has some of the best homestyle fried chicken in the state. Here’s everything you need to know about dining at The Chicken Connection.
The Chicken Connection is a family eatery that has some of the most shockingly delicious fried chicken in Massachusetts.
It’s been operating out of a humble building in Haverhill for over 20 years. The low-key exterior conceals some seriously world-class flavor.
The Chicken Connection serves up piping-hot fried chicken that’s crispy, golden, and tender.
It’s so good, you’ll find yourself reaching for a second piece after the first bite.
Everything is made from scratch in the kitchen and cooked to perfection. This is real, Southern-style comfort food.
You can expect real mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, sinfully good BBQ sauce, and tender cornbread from the skillet.
All the chicken is cut by hand, soaked in an all-natural marinade, hand-breaded, and cooked to order using a lower frying temperature for a longer period of time. That keeps the chicken juicy on the inside.
The prices here are just what you’d expect from a small-town eatery as well. You can get a huge platter of chicken tenders for just $10.50 and a family pack of 12 massive pieces of fried bird (that’s enough for four) for just $37.99.
You can also pick up a host of non-fried chicken treats like pot pies, French fires, chicken soup, pulled pork, and macaroni and cheese.
Head down to The Chicken Connection for a poultry feast the likes of which you’ve never had before.
You can find The Chicken Connection at 242 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. Click here to check out their website and take a look at current menus. For more of the best food in the state, head to one of our favorite places for breakfast.
