10 Beautiful Maryland Lakes With A Magical Aura About Them

10 lakes in Maryland that are positively gorgeous, and today, we’re doing a part two! If you haven’t had your fill of scenic lakes in the Old Line State, feast your eyes. Add these spots to your must-visit list.
1. Lake Habeeb (Flintstone)
Located at Rocky Gap State Park, Lake Habeeb is a beautiful blue water spot with surrounding mountain views. Enjoy the scenery from the hiking trails, along the beach, for from Rocky Gap Resort.
2. Lake Linganore (New Market)
This gorgeous body of water is located in a rural lake community in Frederick County. It's perfectly serene and quiet.
3. Buddy Attick Lake (Greenbelt)
Nestled in Buddy Attick Lake State Park is this scenic lake. It's particularly picturesque during autumn months.
4. Prettyboy Reservoir (Baltimore County)
This enchanting reservoir extends through a few Baltimore County municipalities. The views are stunning, especially near the dam.
5. Youghiogheny River Lake (Selbysport)
While the bulk of this lake is in Pennsylvania, there is also a section located in Maryland that you'll want to check out.
6. Loch Raven Reservoir (Baltimore County)
Marylanders love Loch Raven Reservoir, and for good reason. This body of water is perfect for sight seeing and you'll want to bring your camera.
7. Rocky Gorge Reservoir (Burtonsville)
This pretty lake is perfect for a stroll year-round. It's especially mesmerizing during winter.
8. Liberty Reservoir (Eldersburg)
This lake straddles Baltimore and Carroll Counties and is stunning as can be. Add this day trip to your must-do list.
9. Wye Mills Lake (Wye Mills)
This little known lake in the eastern portion of Maryland is perfectly charming. Stroll the perimeter and let the scenery take you away.
10. Triadelphia Reservoir (Brookeville)
Rounding out the Baltimore-ish area, Triadelphia Reservoir is another sprawling reservoir. It's perfect for spending an afternoon among nature.
