Maryland’s Annual Lavender Festival Belongs On Your Summer Bucket List

Calling all lovers of lavender! Did you know about the following Maryland festival that’s dedicated to this relaxing and lovely-smelling herb? Read on for the details and be sure to mark your calendar. What a great way to kick off summer!

The Maryland Lavender festival takes place annually at Springfield Manor in Thurmont.

This spot is a winery, distillery, and brewery, and is great for visiting (or getting married at) year-round.

We love visiting when the weather is warm, where you can sip away on the patio. What a great view!

And don't miss out on this place in June, when perfectly purple lavender blooms all around.

Things really get hopping on June 15th and 16th, when the annual Lavender Festival takes place. Spend some time exploring the beautiful fields...

...and enjoy the local vendors and food trucks on-site.

Bring a picnic blanket or chairs so that you can relax on the lawn while listening to live music...

...and don't forget to purchase wine, beer, or spirits for the perfect complement to your afternoon. Yes, there's even lavender gin! A must-try.

There will also be a professional photographer snapping mini photo sessions among the lavender. Sessions are $10, include all sorts of props, and the photos will be emailed to you within one week.
