What are some things to do in Maryland in spring?
Maryland has a ton of beautiful natural areas, spring gardens, and adventurous activities. Here are some things to do in Maryland in spring that will create some really awesome memories:

  • Visit Sherwood Gardens, Baltimore, MD: This enchanting garden in the heart of Baltimore is the perfect spot to catch tulips as they reach for the sun in late April to early May. All of these beautiful tulips are imported directly from Holland. You'll find 28 gorgeous beds of blooming flowers throughout the six acres. Sherwood Gardens is a lovely place for a spring walk.
  • Go kayaking at Rock Creek Regional Park, Durwood, MD: This 1,800-acre regional park features the beautiful 75-acre Lake Needwood. It is a nice quiet lake for kayaking or canoeing. They even have rentals available if you do not have your own. The Meadowside Nature Center is also a nice area for taking a spring wildflower hike on the 13 miles of trails. After your hiking or kayaking adventure, stop at the Snack Bar to grab a few goodies before enjoying the rest of the day.
  • Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park, Deerwood, MD: While you are in Rock Creek Regional Park, swing by this cool adventure course and zip-line. Climb through the trees on wooden platforms and swaying ropes, then take the zipline to the next platform. The longest run is a fun 400-foot race through the woods.
