The Maine Restaurant With Italian Roots That Date Back To The 1960s
Has there ever been a better place to eat than right here in Maine? We say no, and that’s why we’re always on the lookout for spots to recommend to friends and family. There’s certainly no shortage of great spots, but we especially love the ones that come with an impressive decades-long heritage. This spot in Portland is a great option!
Sitting in the former location of beloved Espo's you'll find new addition, Maria's Ristorante. But being new to the space doesn't mean they're new to the food scene here in Maine!
The eatery recently moved to a new home on Congress Street, but you'll still find the same fantastic menu operated by sons Anthony and Greg Napolitano.
Maria's has been a fantastic place to dine in Portland for over 60 years and we can't wait to see it keep thriving under the Napolitano name for another 160!
Maria’s Ristorante is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. They’re closed on Sunday. You can learn more about the restaurant by visiting their website. You can also follow them on Facebook. They can be reached at 207-772-9232.
Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
