The Hiking Trail Hiding In Maine That Will Transport You To Another World
Maine has lots of hiking trails and we must admit that they’re all pretty great. But, some have something extra that takes it from a trail to a magical trip reminding us why we all spend our days in Vacationland. This tried and true Maine favorite might seem obvious to some, but you’d be surprised how often it’s overlooked for some of the larger hiking systems. One of the reasons it’s hidden? It’s located so close to Portland that people don’t expect it! But, we think you’ll agree that it’s one of the best in the state!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/

In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
