There’s a lot to love about Maine, but sometimes it feels like the coast gets all the good attention. Tourists flock to the state’s beach towns and for good reason. They’re beautiful. But we also know that inland Maine has some pretty special things to love. There are the lakes, the camps, the beautifully quiet forest and the many hiking trails. But, of course, you know we love food and we can’t forget that some of the best restaurants in the state are found inland. Especially in the Oquossoc and Rangeley area.
Considered one of the best restaurants in the area, this spot is a winner each and every time. The bar is lively on the weekends and at night and you'll be greeted with a smile and even some great recommendations from the staff. The brisket sandwich with bourbon sauce gets great reviews, but you really can't go wrong with any selection you make.
If you've got a special occasion to celebrate in the area, this is a great place to visit. Widely regarded as one of the best restaurants in the area, this menu is wonderful! Seafood from the coast and some great local dishes, make this a must-visit. And don't leave without the truffle fries!
If you're looking for a good time this is the place to be! Hoppin' year-round and serving up some of the best BBQ in the state, The Shed is a go-to for folks who love to be surrounded by the smell of meat (who doesn't!?) and great company.
We love the casual and fun vibes at this spot. And you can't miss the red exterior! While considered an Italian restaurant there are also lots of American options. If you're vegetarian, check out the Rasta Pasta, which is a favorite.
There's a lot offered at this cozy spot, but we love the pizza. Once you've tried that, check out the burgers and drinks and be sure to make room for dessert.
This local classic offers one of the best breakfasts you'll ever have. The menu is extensive and it's especially fun to stop in on a Sunday. They also have a ton of great lunch and dinner options. In the winter you can snowmobile right to their door!
While this may not be a restaurant in the traditional sense, we couldn't leave this fave off the list. They've got just about everything and that includes pizza slices, snacks and red snappers! Go get 'em!
We love the New England-style food at this local favorite, but we can't help but want to drink in the views as well. With a westerly view across the waters of Mooselookmeguntic Lake, this is a dinner you'll want to start eating while the sun is shining!
