Maine’s Bam Bam Bakery Is A Completely Gluten-Free Bakery And It’s Bananas Good
There are a lot of food options in Maine these days, but wading through the ones that serve the food you can eat can be hard. Especially when the thing we’re craving these days (okay, all days!) are cookies. And cupcakes. And pretty much anything with icing. That’s why we love this special little bakery. Every single thing is mindfully made for those with dietary restrictions.
Bam Bam Bakery can be found in the Old Port area of Portland.
From the outside you might only notice the fun sign. Nearly hidden inside a brick building, you might miss it if you're not looking. But once you step inside it's clear that this place is special.
Unlike other bakeries that might offer gluten-free goods, Bam Bam is completely dedicated to this lifestyle. And you'll find that what they offer i9s actually better than their traditional counterparts.
And with a dedication to all things gluten-free you'll find plenty of options. You'll often hear them having to answer over and over "yes" to "even this is gluten-free?!"
But what we love the most about Bam Bam is that you'd probably want to stop in even if gluten wasn't a problem for you. The food here is beautiful and delicious.
And while we know everyone would assume to have treats at every meal, if you do want to keep some variety they also offer regular foods. And by that we mean things like breakfast sandwiches for the morning.
Bam Bam is a great place to sit and stay for a while, too. The sunlit dining room is great for reading or catching up with pals while enjoying a treat.
And, as you can see, they're willing to get creative.
Bam Bam Bakery is open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can check them out on their website or you can visit them on Facebook. They can be reached on 207-899-4100.

In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
