The Cornville 10-Mile Yard Sale in Maine is a must-visit annual event for yard sale enthusiasts, offering a wide range of goods and supporting the local community.

Believe it or not one of our favorite activities is hopping in the car and searching out a good yard sale. Sure, hikes are fun, the beach is cool and our readers know how we feel about restaurants and bars. But nothing (and we mean nothing) beats a great shopping find! It's not hard to find a great yard sale in Maine, but there's one sure bet that you must check out for some seriously awesome yard sale shopping!

Those who love a good rummage in Maine know to look out for the annual Cornville 10 mile yard sale taking place each spring.

The event began in the 1980s with just a few households taking part. The idea was the combine forces to create a large sale worthy of visitors from other areas.

The event was so successful that the following year brought in even more participants.

Ultimately the yard sale event became so large that it spanned 10 miles!

Originally just in Cornville, the yard sale now includes yards in Athens and Skowhegan as well as many side roads that weave in between these towns.

Imagine all the fun you can have by checking out 10 miles of goods ranging from true antiques, to clothing to music. There have even been outboard motors for sale!

We love this annual event because it allows us to visit a beautiful part of the state, while enjoying and supporting the local community here.

Of course, it helps that Nelson's Candies is right on the route which means a sweet treat along the way is basically a necessity!
