Hineston is a tiny little community in Rapides Parish that you may have never heard of before, but it’s home to one of the most incredible hidden gem restaurants in Louisiana: Sissy’s.

When you visit Sissy’s, it’s like going to grandma’s house.

From the decor to the service, this little country restaurant will have you feeling just like a member of the family by the time you’re ready to leave.

But you're going to have a hard time leaving after feasting on some of the delicious dishes Sissy's is serving up.

The lunch buffet is offered on weekdays from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Every day is something different, and every day is something delicious.

Known for those good old-fashioned country meals, expect anything from chicken fried steak to chicken and dumplings on the buffet.

And, of course, you'll find all of your favorite side dishes.

But Sissy's is more than just a buffet. You'll find a wide array of items on its regular menu.

The restaurant also offers a seafood buffet on Friday and Saturday evenings, and if it's crawfish season, you better get yourself a pound or two.
