You don’t have to fly over to Napa Valley to enjoy a wine-filled weekend in the vineyards. You might be surprised to learn that there’s an incredible vineyard right here in the Pelican State, and they offer one of the most unique getaways in Louisiana. Pack your bags and get ready for a weekend of fun!
Landry Vineyards is a family-owned and operated vineyard in West Monroe, Louisiana.
The vineyard was established in 1999, and the original vineyard was located in Folsom. In 2006, the family moved up to the rolling hills of Ouachita Parish and started their new vineyard in West Monroe.
Today, the vineyard boasts 16.5 acres of grapes.
They are blanc du bois, lenoir/black Spanish, crimson cabernet, and cabernet doré, as well as a white and red muscadine.
The vineyard is open six days a week for wine tastings and tours on Saturdays.
Tours include a tour of the vineyard, cellar, winery, crush pad, and bottling facility. You’ll learn all about the wine-making process and see it firsthand.
Recently Landry Vineyards built a couple of cabins available for rent.
These studio-style cottages are the ultimate getaway for a weekend of relaxation.
Both cottages feature a king-size bed and come with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Guests also receive a complimentary bottle of wine and wine tastings!
The vineyard often hosts special events and music concerts, especially during the warmer months.
On the weekends, guests can pull up some grass and listen to the sweet tunes of local musicians. Now that's what we call a concert right in your own backyard!
Sounds like the perfect weekend, right?
