There’s so much to do in Louisiana, it’s hard to keep track. With spring on the way, we decided it was a good time to compile a list of trips to take to reinforce your love for this wonderful state.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! 1. Avery Island
The factory tours of Tabasco hot sauce are worth the trip, but there's also the beautiful Jungle Gardens where you can explore 170 acres of azaleas, camellias, bamboo. The gardens are also home to alligators, egrets, and other wildlife.

2. BREC Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center
If you're near Baton Rouge, this is a must-see. The BREC Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center is 101 acres including a 65 acre tupelo swamp. The walkways are raised, so you can still keep your distance from nature while simultaneously be immersed in it.
3. Chennault Aviation and Military Museum
Go back in time and learn about the history of war in this country. Multiple artifacts and exhibits will give you insight into the past. Admission is free!

5. Drive Down The Creole Trail
One of only 43 designated scenic byways in the United States, come check out 180 miles of scenic highways filled with marshland, beaches, wildlife, and plant life. Experiencing "Louisiana's Outback" will give you new respect for the Louisiana Landscape.
6. Go On A Ghost Tour
We've got hundreds of allegedly haunted places. From cemeteries, churches, homes, even bars... Chances are if it's old, it's haunted. Check out some places
7. Swim In The Kisatchie Bayou
When the summer hits, we're all looking for ways to cool off. The Kisatchie Bayou is the perfect spot for some summer fun. Kisatchie Bayou is located in the Kisatchie Ranger District in Central Louisiana.
8. Explore A Cave
While you're in Kisatchie National Park, check out this cave. It's called the Wolf Rock Save, and it's just south of Fort Polk. It can be a bit tricky to find though!
9. Global Wildlife Center
You may have been here during a school field trip when you were a kid, but this place is fun for all ages. Enjoy a guided Safari Wagon tour and ride through over 900 acres as you come face to face with zebras, giraffes, camels, and much more.
10. Take An Eco-Tour
Down in Cameron Parish, this company offers tours through 50,000 acres of marshland. Get up close and personal with one of the most unique environments in the United States.
11. Check Out A Waterfall
This place can be a bit tricky to find, but it's worth it if you're up for an adventure. It's best to go after a hard rain so you can see the full waterfall. Rock Falls is accessible about 3 miles from the southern entrance to the Sicily Island Hills Wildlife Management Area.
12. Get Prehistoric
Walk to 12 acres of paved walkways and explore giant dinosaur replicas, including some animated displays. With 23 dinosaur exhibits, this is a place the whole family can have fun at.
