The J.C. “Sonny” Gilbert Wildlife Management Area might just be the most underrated hiking spot in the state. You won’t find any paved or boardwalk trails here, instead, you’ll be met with rugged terrain and primitive trails, great for hikers looking to step up their difficulty level. There are three trails within the WMA, and each one leads you on a spectacular journey through the forest. Today we are going to take a peek at the St. Mary’s Fall Trail, a relatively easy route that’s less than two miles long and leads you to a beautiful waterfall.
