Louisiana loves food and history, combine them and you’ve got yourself the full package. If you find yourself down in the depths of Thibodaux, you need to make your way over to Fremin’s, a historic restaurant in Louisiana with food so good, you’ll find yourself resisting the urge to lick the plate. Let’s check it out.
You’ll find Fremin’s in the heart of downtown Thibodaux.
The building dates back to 1878 when it operated as The Roth Drugstore. In 1998, it was restored to its former glory. You can feel the history from the moment you walk in side.
The upstairs balcony offers a delightful view of downtown Thibodaux. On a beautiful day, you can’t get much better than this!
That is, until you crack open the menu.
Fremin’s offers a wide array of dishes that would satisfy anyone’s palette.
From crawfish tortellini to duck and andouille gumbo, the folks at Fremin’s have carefully created a menu that honors the culinary traditions of the region while still putting their own unique spin on things.
Steak lovers shouldn’t pass up the opportunity to feast on their incredible filet mignon. Of course, those that prefer a taste of the sea will have plenty of options to choose from, too.
And such a celebratory meal isn't complete without a little dessert, and everyone always finds room for some chocolate cake, right? Trust us, it's worth it.
Fremin’s is open for dinner four days a week:
Wednesday & Thursday: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
For more information, be sure to check out their website and give them a follow on Facebook.
