We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. The original location in Baton Rouge opened over 25 years ago and the business has expanded to include a second location in Baton Rouge and now a third in Covington.

You’ll be surrounded by a sea of emerald greens and you may even spot a goat or two. These friendly little creatures help keep the lawn in check.

Burgers, po’boys, and several grill options all pepper the menu. This is also a great spot for beer lovers, but we'll get to that later.

Char-grilled oysters, crawfish étouffée, and BBQ shrimp are just a few of the specialty seafood dishes.

You’ll walk down the boardwalk to the river, where you’ll meet up with the folks at Canoe & Trail Adventures.

Canoe & Trail Adventures offers several different types of rentals, including solo and tandem kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards.

The most popular option is two hours, which is plenty of time to paddle down the river and see the sights.

Just remember to keep an eye on the time, because you'll need to return to the launch site before your rental time is up. Luckily, the river doesn't have much of a current, so you'll be able to paddle either direction easily.

The Chimes has one of the most extensive beer selections in the state, with hundreds of beers from all over the world!
