We begin our epic journey in Lake Charles at Steamboat Bill’s. There are actually a few different locations peppered around Louisiana, including two in Lake Charles. No matter which one you visit, be prepared to feast on perfectly seasoned crawfish.
Sticking in the Lake Charles area for one more spot, our next restaurant along the trail is the Crawfish Stop. Since 2003, they’ve been a local favorite during mudbug season, and after one tail, you’ll understand why. The best part is you’ll never even have to get out of your car! Swing thru the drive-thru and load up on a few pounds of crawfish to take home.
Eastward we go - this time making a stop at Abbeville's Cajun Claws. They're known for serving some of the biggest crawfish in town, so be sure to come hungry!
Now we're really heading into Cajun Country. Home to some of the best boiled and fried seafood in Lafayette, Louisiana Crawfish Time never disappoints.
This rustic restaurant is a popular spot in Lafayette for anyone craving delicious crawfish. Be sure to get all of those yummy fixin's, like sausage, corn, and potatoes to round it out!
When it comes to crawfish, you have to go to Breaux Bridge, the "Crawfish Capital of the World." And with a name like Crazy 'Bout Crawfish, you know this one is are going to be good. This Breaux Bridge eatery is delicious year-round, but during crawfish season, it’s one of the best.
Head on over to Baton Rouge to feast on tasty BBQ and seafood at Pit-N-Peel. They frequently offer an all-you-can-eat crawfish special, which is honestly the best way to eat crawfish.
We end our road trip at Sammy’s Grill, a family-friendly and super casual joint in Baton Rouge. From burgers to po’boys, they do it all, but during this time of year, trade the burgers for 'bugs and treat yourself to a few pounds of perfectly boiled crawfish.
