These hidden gems may be slightly off the beaten path, but they are absolutely worthy of the pilgrimage.

2. Bubba’s II Po’boys
Established in 1996, you can always count on Bubba’s for a good old fashioned po’boy. When brothers Norman and Neal Swanner opened this humble little joint over 20 years ago, they had no idea it would become such a local favorite. From steaks to seafood, there’s something for everyone at this fantastic restaurant. This place is great if you’re planning on doing some fishing while you’re in the area, as they offer a "cook your catch" option so you don’t have to wait to enjoy your freshly-caught fish. Located in the heart of downtown Thibodaux, Fremin’s has been delighting the hearts and stomachs of locals for over a decade. The building dates back to the late 1800s, a historic landmark for the city of Thibodaux, and the food is simply to die for. 5. Gina’s At The Legion

6. Kajun Twist
For a perfectly-prepared Cajun meal, you just can’t go wrong at Kajun Twist. This little eatery has been around since 2014, and it’ll quickly become your new favorite spot. 8. Rose’s Cafe

9. Spahr’s Seafood
Spahr’s has been a local favorite for over 40 years, and it’s time you make your way over to this incredible hidden gem. Known for their famous catfish chips and Bloody Mary’s, this is certainly one restaurant worth the pilgrimage.
