The Belvedere is another beautiful area to view the river. It's elevated to provide great views of the sky and Ohio River, and there's often festivals and other events hosted here because it's such a prime location.
6. Crescent Hill Reservoir Park.
This gothic gatehouse that sits upon the reservoir was built in 1879 and is a historic landmark in Louisville. It's a beautiful sight to see this unique building across the water. Many people in Louisville have never visited the location because it sits on a hill, hidden to the many people who pass it daily on Frankfort Avenue.
7. Amazing hidden waterfalls.
We have a few beautiful waterfalls hidden around Louisville. Pictured above is Fairmount Falls, a lovely sight that can be reached easily by a short hike.

The nature in Louisville is a large part of why it's such a beautiful city. There are so many places to escape the urban scene, like this amazing meadow in Broad Run Park.

This photo was taken is the peak at Iroquois Park, providing the perfect view of our city. This is one of the amazing views that you'll see when hiking in the forests found right here in Louisville.
11. Gliding through peaceful creeks.
If you like kayaking or boating, Louisville has plenty bodies of waters to explore and some of the views you'll find are gorgeous. Even if you don't like being on the water, walking along our creeks makes for a beautiful, peaceful walk.
