Kentucky farms are beautiful places where people work hard, grow and raise produce and livestock, and live a lovely rural lifestyle. In the fall, some of these farms welcome guests for festivals, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and even a variety of haunted attractions. Located in Petersburg and a favorite spooky event in Northern Kentucky, Sandyland Acres offers a haunted hayride in Kentucky that is as creepy as it is fun. Put on a hoodie, grab a few friends, and check out this Halloween attraction that's worthy of a visit this season.
For well over a decade, Sandyland Acres has hosted a haunted hayride in Kentucky on their property that is otherwise beautiful and not scary at all.
But when the sun goes down in the fall, the atmosphere takes on a creepy vibe that's ideal for a haunted attraction. The hayride and the adjacent haunted barn are open select Friday and Saturday evenings from 8pm to midnight.
Thankfully, this is not the wagon they use for the actual hayrides. But it does make for fun decor and entertainment while you wait for your turn to ride.
The haunted hayride is $15 per guest and the haunted barn is $10. If you'd like to do both, there's a combo rate for $23. Keep in mind that it's cash only!
On the 25-minute hayride expect to meet a few new friends, both those on the hayride with you and the scary creatures that lurk in the darkness, ready to scare you.
Weekend nights in the fall are made for haunted outings and getting cozy on a hayride while keeping your eyes half covered is a great way to celebrate autumn. Embrace the season and be sure to let us know what you think about this favorite NKY event.
