Kentucky is now on the map when it comes to delicious food, thanks to its recent feature on the show, Top Chef. But we've always known that the Bluegrass State is home to some of the best restaurants in the country. We have countless local favorites, and one that tops the list for many is Con Huevos in Louisville. This Mexican-style restaurant serves up breakfast, lunch, and brunch like no other dining destination in our region and as you finish that last scrumptious bite, you'll agree that you can't help but lick your plate.

As a popular eatery with a menu this good, you can often find a crowd at both their Frankfort Avenue and Holiday Manor locations. While the wait is definitely worth it, they've helped to alleviate this issue with an expansion of the Frankfort Ave. restaurant, which just recently opened.
The vibe in each restaurant is slightly different, but both are relaxing and welcoming places to enjoy a meal. They serve breakfast and lunch every day of the week.
Con Huevos, which means "with eggs," is an incredibly appropriate name, as several of the menu items come topped with local, free-range eggs. Each meal option is actually the perfect blend of authentic Mexican flavors and breakfast or lunch favorites.
The only tough part about a visit to Con Huevos is deciding what to get. Perhaps the best strategy is to decide if you want savory or sweet and then narrow it down from there. If it's your first visit, definitely go with the breakfast/brunch menu, as it is what they are famous for.
But that doesn't mean the lunch offerings should be ignored. Tacos, sandwiches, and quesadillas are all just as worthy of your taste buds.
And even if you do decide to go with a savory meal, order the churros to go along with it. The coffee and juices available are also unique and pair well with any choice from the menu.
Con Huevos is much more than an Instagram-worthy restaurant in Louisville. The Mexican-style menu is wonderfully authentic and bursting with flavor, and with a perfectly cooked egg on top, you won't be able to help but lick your plate.
