New Wave Burritos Has The Best Over-The-Top Burritos In Kentucky

A popular trend with food these days is to take an everyday menu item and elevate it to the next level. Many restaurants have created pizzas with piles of unique toppings, milkshakes decorated with desserts, and burgers loaded with everything under the sun. Of course, Kentucky is in on this action and you can taste the best of it at New Wave Burritos in Louisville. This over-the-top burrito restaurant takes one-of-a-kind recipes and stuffs them into gigantic burritos – and on top of that, chowing down here is an absolute blast.

The concept for New Wave Burritos began as a late night delivery service that satisfied midnight cravings. Popularity grew and this favorite dining destination is now a can't miss, bright pink brick and mortar.

The over-the-top food at New Wave is perfectly served up in the whimsical space of the restaurant. The inside is cheerful, welcoming for all ages, and includes arcade games for even more laid back fun.

Once you get past all of the color and excitement, it's time to decide on a burrito. The menu has a creative and flavorful selection of regular choices, and on Thursdays, they feature popular specials that are basically a meal, stuffed into a burrito.

The specials vary each week and are always unique. They've done everything from a chicken pot pie burrito (shown below) to an American classic stuffed with beef, mozzarella cheese sticks, pickles, and more (shown in the photo above).

Other regular items you'll find include quesadillas, fries topped with creamy cheese, and sweet desserts. If you're smart, you'll visit with a few people and share a bit of everything on the menu.

Also, any of the burritos can be turned into nachos or piled on top of tater tots, but we recommend going with the burrito and getting the chips on the side - they're a must-taste!
