The changing of the leaves in Kentucky is almost as famed as the changing of the guard, but it's by far, more beautiful. Even better, we have such an enormous amount of acreage via forests and parks, the vibrant colors can be enjoyed almost anywhere in the state.

10. Shanty Hollow Lake

This fish filled reservoir is primarily in Warren County, but partially in Edmondon as well.

9. Bernheim Forest

The shades of gold, yellow and orange are so vivid in Bernheim by Clermont, they seem to burst out of the forest shadow. There are both hiking and driving trails to view this natural phenomenon.

8. Breaks Interstate Park

This southeastern national park was said to be first visited by Daniel Boone, in 1767. The beauty of the area leaves no reason for doubts as to why he chose to stay a while.

7. Grayson Lake and Dam

This wonderful fishing area offers a variety of views to enjoy the surrounding foliage. No matter your location, on the dam or in the water, everywhere you look is beauty.

6. Greenbo Lake

Greenup County is home to this 181 acre lake and the surrounding forest gives visitors a breathtaking view of Mother Nature.
